The Italian American Digest is a tabloid newspaper, published quarterly with distributions on St. Joseph's Day, July 4th, Columbus Day, and Christmas. Founded in 1973 by Joseph Maselli, it is the "Italian American Voice of the South" and has a national distribution of over 15,000 copies. It is produced and written by volunteers whose purpose is to promote contributions of Italian Americans and applaud their success which are usually overlooked in the major newspapers and magazines.
Our main interest is to document
the culture, language, and heritage brought to America by the
Italian immigrant. We have tried to fill the void left after the
"La Voce Coloniale" and other Italian language newspapers
that have ceased publication. Each issue contains twenty pages
of Italian, national, local, and club news; Italian history (Italian
Yesterday and Today), the Italian language, genealogy, and various
articles of general interest. All this for a $10.00 annual subscription.
If you are interested in becoming a subscriber to the Italian American Digest, please send your check in the amount of $10.00 along with your name and address to: Italian American Digest, P.O. Box 2392, New Orleans, LA 70176.
